DEULTI is believed to have been founded in the 10th century by the Pala dynasty. The village was an important center of Buddhism and Hinduism during the medieval period. The famous Dharmarajika Stupa, built by Emperor Asoka in the 3rd century BC, is located near DEULTI. The village also has several ancient temples, including the Charchala Temple, which dates back to the 9th century.
