History Of That Place

Mon Chasha Eco Village was established in 2009 as a joint initiative by the Government of West Bengal and a private company called Prakriti Samsad. The aim was to promote sustainable tourism while preserving the local culture and environment. The resort is spread over 5 acres and offers a unique experience of staying in traditional huts made of natural materials like bamboo, mud, and thatch.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit Mon Chasha Eco Village is between October to March when the weather is pleasant and dry. The monsoon season (June to September) should be avoided as it can be very wet and humid.

Mon Chasha Eco Village is located in the district of East Midnapore, around 130 km from Kolkata. The nearest airport is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, and the nearest railway station is Contai Road Railway Station. From there, you can hire a taxi or take a local bus to reach the resort.
